Would strip the Israel defense-technology merger out of the Senate's defense bill — a three-word amendment, 'Strike section 1217', filed and never called up because the bill itself was never taken up.
Submitted 2026-06-24 and ordered to lie on the table, which is the Senate's ordinary holding status and not itself an adverse act. The Senate then never took up S. 4784: cloture on the motion to proceed was rejected 50-46 on 2026-07-14 (Record Vote No. 195, sixty required), and further motions to proceed on 2026-07-20, 2026-07-23 and 2026-07-27 produced no vote.
