How we feeling? That's great. That's great. Good morning. Try it one more time. Good morning. It is an honor and a privilege to be here together as Democrats. And I just want to say we've got a lot of really big, important decisions to make by the end of this day. Money in your audience. Medicare for all. This will be a long day. It's gonna be a marathon, but this would be fantastic. You looking for some information to... For the convention? Yeah, yeah, so right down here. Today, you're gonna hear a lot about different visions for what the party can be. Personally, I believe in a vision where we get money out of politics, put money back in pockets, and pass Medicare for all. I am here to support Abdul for many reasons, but number one is Medicare for all. One home animal. Have you heard of Abdul's platform and everything? Yay. All right, well, saw him walking around, doing some pictures taken. Oh, heck, yeah. Would you like a pin or a pen? Okay, there you go. This next young man. It's a fire cracker. A showed up rider for the puzzle. Now, look, I had the privilege of serving this district both leading Detroit's Health Department, and, again, leading Wayne County's Department of Health, Human and Veteran Services. We put glasses on babies, 50,000 pairs across the state. Took on the biggest corporate polluters in our state. We had every school daycare in Headstart, testing for lead in the water. We put Narcan and 100 different vending machines for free. You all probably know my script by now. getting money out of politics, put money in pockets, passing Medicare for all. So what you get with me is somebody who understands two things. Number one, I will never back down when somebody's rights are at risk. So when they come and tell us that it's okay for us to throw away trans rights, or LGBT rights, or gay rights, or lesbian rights, I'm gonna be the first up there to say, No, you will not take away rights in these United States of America. We've got to stand up to the corporations who have rigged our politics for too long. I'm the only Democrat in this race, who's never taken a dime of corporate money and never will. Shouldn't be this whore to afford a second bag of groceries, should not be this hard. She is not beating at all. We want the same job tomorrow that you worked yesterday and yesterday before, and know that you've got a right to a union. Shouldn't be as hard to pay your taxes and know that those taxes are not dropping bonds on other people's kids, but instead invested in you and your kids and your future. No, no. No, no, no, no. In the United States, you deserve to have a union. So, look, this movie is not about me. It's not about one seat. It's about what we do together when we come together... Oh, school! Good morning, Democratic women! My name is Abdul Al Sayed, and I am running for U.S. Senate, 'cause I got a name that was clearly tailor made for American politics. But, y'all, let me tell you really why I'm running, 'cause I was my grandmother's grandson. Smartest, wisest human being I ever met in my whole life, never got to go to school. She was the ninth of 14, born in a time and a place in Egypt, where girls like her, however clearly brilliant she was, never got to go to school. If we're serious, about actually living out our face, we have to be serious about addressing the injustices that get created in our politics. I'm the only candidate running in this race, Democrat or Republican, who has never taken money from those corporations. Yeah. We can talk about wholly accountable the utilities all day, but if you're taking money from the utilities, I'm so sorry, you're probably not gonna hold them accountable. I'm here volunteering for a duel's team, uh, to, you know, raise more awareness and raise more support, um, and inform people on his policies, uh, so, hopefully, we can make it our next senator. And everybody can help me introduce, um, our endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate, Abdul Sayen. No, I can say it. Oh, for 90 cities, we've been to. across the 335 events at which you've shown up. You've recognized that the truth will have its way if we are willing to do the work of sharing that truth. And the truth is this, in America. The power of the people is greater than the people in power. This is Michigan Democrats, huh? We gotta be honest about who we are as a country. Who are we and what do we believe? We are at a crossroads in this country. We cannot continue to make peace with a system that tells us that our best use of our tax dollars is to send money elsewhere in the form of bombs and tanks. Donald Trump is, not himself, the disease of our politics, he's just the worst symptom of the disease of our politics. The disease is the system that allowed big corporations and millionaires. Special interests like APAC, to buy and sell politicians. We not decide that so long as we are willing to accommodate the likes of an APAC in our politics, do not be surprised when they take us to foreign wars, we have no business fighting it. And I say that. I say that because... because I love my Jewish sisters and brothers, and because I love my Palestinian sisters and brothers. I know I got no business running wrong. I got the wrong name. I pray the wrong way, got the wrong skin color, got the wrong name. You heard it. 11 letters wrong. Not sounds that come out of board, some people's throats. They dont know they have. But I am not gonna stand on the stage and tell you what you cannot have, and should not fight. We need Democrats who are willing to take the flight to Donald Trump, who are willing to take a fight, to the system that created Donald Trump, and are willing to go $10,000. It's all about getting money out of politics. We have money back in pockets, fighting for union, abolishing us, and passes, that again, role, my friend, by me, is not well said, and I hope I can be that Democrat. Thank you so much
